Little Louis didn’t make an actual appearance at the music festival, but he was there in spirit thanks to a fan’s massive flag with the young prince’s face held high in the crowd. Valiantly flapping in the wind, the banner was emblazoned with a still of Louis during the royal family’s 2022 Trooping the Colour appearance on the Buckingham Palace balcony.

The youngest child of Prince William and Kate Middleton had several cheeky moments during the celebration, but the one displayed on the flag was of Louis screaming while covering his ears and squeezing his eyes shut as airplanes passed overhead in Queen Elizabeth’s honor. Life’s hard when you’re 4, bored, and absolutely horrified by the most noise you’ve heard in your entire life. We get it.

Louis’ antics during his great-grandmother’s public birthday celebration started long before his balcony breakdown. The little boy rode in a carriage with his siblings, mother, and Queen Consort Camilla during the procession, and he couldn’t have looked more disgruntled. With red cheeks and a palm to his face, the young prince shot photographers and bystanders a look that said, “Can I just go home?”

He looked equally aggrieved on the balcony after regaining some composure from the plane plight, leaning against the wall of the terrace on his elbows, face resting in his hands with a hilariously vacant expression in his eyes. He also made a number of his signature silly faces before Kate leaned down to presumably tell him to knock it off. Ah, the royals — they’re just like us!

Prince Louis treated the public to another gut-busting spectacle of antics during the 2023 Trooping the Colour ceremony, which included this exuberant move on the Buckingham Palace balcony. While no one is entirely sure what the 5-year-old was doing, his chaotic display resulted in plenty of bemused laughter.

While Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are all quite cheeky, the youngest of the three undoubtedly sits on the throne as the wild child of the Waleses. The little boy has been stealing the show with hilariously unbecoming behavior for a royal ever since his first engagement in 2019, and we love every single second of his highly entertaining escapades.
