It is impossible to predict the course of one’s life, however it is possible to mitigate some of the harms along the way. This can be achieved simply by sipping on a delicious beverage favoured by the health conscious. This drink is said to help lower cholesterol levels, reduce heart disease risk, prevent cancer and increase longevity.
Matcha green tea can lower your levels of bad cholesterol and increase your levels of good cholesterol.
It has also been shown to possess the same ability as insulin to regulate blood sugar.
Matcha is effective at keeping both cholesterol and diabetes in check.
Studies have shown that people who drink matcha tea on a regular basis have low LDL (bad) cholesterol, while at the same time having higher levels of HDL (good) cholesterol.
Men who drink matcha tea are 11 percent less likely to develop heart disease than those who don’t drink matcha.

Because matcha is made from high-quality tea, and the whole leaves are ingested, it’s a more potent source of nutrients than green tea.
In addition to providing vitamins and minerals, matcha is rich in antioxidants called polyphenols, which have been tied to protection against heart disease and cancer, as well as better blood sugar regulation, blood pressure reduction, and anti-aging.
Another polyphenol in matcha called EGCG has been shown in research to boost metabolism, and slow or halt the growth of cancer cells.
The word antioxidant is used quite often in nutrition and health.
Antioxidants are responsible for fighting against UV radiation to help maintain younger-looking skin and prevent some forms of cancer.
Not only is Matcha chock-full of antioxidants, but it is one of the best sources of these nutrients.
Antioxidants are substances that may protect your cells against free radicals further preventing against age-related diseases.
Matcha is also rich in the amino acid L-Theanine, which naturally eliminates the unwanted reactions of caffeine without the nervous energy from coffee.
In one study L-theanine was investigated as a putative anti-cancer, anti-obesity, blood pressure-lowering compound.
It found that L-theanine is capable of promoting paraquat resistance and longevity suggesting that this compound may as well promote healthy lifespan in mammals and possibly humans.
Drinking Matcha helps lower your risk of heart disease and hypertension as well as reduces your risk of high blood pressure.
It may even inhibit the development and progression of degenerative diseases, such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s diseases.
Including matcha in your diet could increase your antioxidant intake, which may help prevent cell damage and even lower your risk of several chronic diseases.
