It was a beautiful spring day in Santa Monica, California, yesterday, and the stars were out! Specifically, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez, and Jennifer Garner, who were spotted on a rare blended family outing with their kids. We love seeing these A-listers co-parent together in such a seamless way!
Page Six has photos of the Air producer and his wife J.Lo walking with her 15-year-old son Max and his 11-year-old son Samuel, who he shares with ex-wife Garner. It looks like Samuel and Max just got out of school, with the former wearing a red polo with blue pants and red sneakers with a backpack around his shoulders, and the latter dressed in a white polo shirt with black pants.
Affleck is wearing a Charles Dickens t-shirt and a blue cardigan over jeans and rainbow tennis shoes, pulling a backpack behind him. The Shotgun Wedding star, who shares twins Max and Emme with ex Marc Anthony, wore sunglasses, a white t-shirt, high-waisted khaki pants, and white tennis shoes.
In the same neighborhood, The Last Thing He Told Me star was photographed driving a blue car wearing sunglasses and multiple bracelets on her wrist as she presumably was heading to meet up with the family. We don’t know where they were going, but it is awesome to see them all getting together for the kids. They are the perfect example of amicable co-parenting!

Ben Affleck Calls His Kids the ‘Joy of Life’
Affleck, who shares Samuel and daughters Violet, 17, and Seraphina, 14, with Garner, appeared on today’s episode of The Drew Barrymore Show, where he talked about his kids being the “joy of life.”
“There’s so many things, the birth of my children, all the things that I’ve done with my kids,” Affleck said about a moment he’d want to live again and again. “It’s just the joy of life, it’s the heart of life. These beautiful children who are innocent and loving and want to sit on your lap and hold you, and then they turn into, ‘You can close the door,’ like, ‘Oh so you don’t want to play Chutes and Ladders, I can just go?’”
He went on, “It’s the gift of life all those moments and I’m beginning to see now how they are fleeting but now I treasure all these little moments. I just went and looked at colleges with my daughter and I showed ‘Good Will Hunting’ to my middle child, that was one of the best experiences of my life.”

Jennifer Garner Recently Talked About Her Kids’ Social Media Use
The 13 Going on 30 alum likes to keep her private life, well, private, and she recently opened up about limiting her kids’ social media use.
“I just said to my kids, ‘Show me the articles that prove that social media is good for teenagers, and then we’ll have the conversation,’” Garner said on TODAY earlier this month. “Find scientific evidence that matches what I have that says that it’s not good for teenagers, then we’ll chat.”
This strategy is actually working for her eldest, Violet. “My eldest is grateful,” Garner continued. “It’s a long haul. I have a couple more to go, so just knock on wood. We’ll see if I really hang in there.”
She may have more reasons to keep her kids off social media, like not wanting them to see some of the things their dad said after their split.
“I really work hard not to see either of us in the press,” she told Stellar Magazine this month. “It doesn’t make me feel good, even if it’s something nice about one of us. I just try to forget that I’m out there in any way, and the same with anyone I love. I don’t need to see anyone in my family made into a meme.”

Jennifer Lopez Gushed About Her Blended Family
J. Lo is enjoying combining her and Affleck’s families. In an interview with TODAY in Jan. 2023, she opened up about 2022.
“We moved in together; the kids moved in together. So it’s been, like, a really kind of emotional transition, but at the same time all your dreams coming true,” Lopez said. “And it’s just been a phenomenal year. Like, my best year I think since my kids were born.”
In Nov. 2022, the Marry Me star called Garner “an amazing co-parent” and told Vogue, that blending their families is “going really well so far.”
She added, “What I hope to cultivate with our family is that his kids have a new ally in me and my kids have a new ally in him, someone who really loves and cares about them but can have a different perspective and help me see things that I can’t see with my kids because I’m so emotionally tied up.”
It’s a beautiful way to look at it!
