Happy birthday, Jacob!
Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher's youngest son turned 2 on Thursday and his proud parents marked the occasion with sweet Instagram tributes. Underwood, 37, has previously referred to Jacob as her "miracle baby," because she welcomed him after suffering three miscarriages.
"Jacob, we longed for you. We prayed for you," the mom of two wrote alongside a photo of the toddler when he was a newborn. "We walked a long, hard road in order to one day hold you."
"Today you are two," the "Church Bells" singer continued. "You are silly and strong. You love to play and sing and follow your big brother around. You are loved. You are cherished. You are an incredible blessing from God. Happy birthday, sweet boy! ❤️."

Dad Fisher added in his own post, "Happy 2nd birthday Jacob! You've brought so much joy to our family the last 2 years! Your laugh may just be the best thing in the world 🙂 Can't wait to see what God has in store for you in the years ahead! #happybirthday."
The couple welcomed Jacob on Jan. 21, 2019, after the American Idol alum previously revealed she had suffered three miscarriages from 2017 to 2018.
"We initially in our lives kind of wanted our kids a little closer in age," Underwood told PEOPLE in December 2019 of Jacob and his big brother Isaiah Michael, who turns 6 next month. "That didn't happen, because God has a different plan sometimes."
In September, the country star opened up about how spending time with her boys has been a silver lining of being stuck at home amid the coronavirus pandemic.
"We're really lucky. We have some space around us, so we've been utilizing that space and we've been outdoors a lot," she said during a virtual appearance on Today. "It's been good, and they're adventurous little boys and it's great for us to just be able to get out. I've never been in one place for this long in the past 15-plus years of my career."
"So it's been really great to just really get to know them and watch them grow — especially Jake," Underwood added. "It's such a critical time in his life and I'm never gonna get it back. So we're just trying to enjoy it."
